Women in Business Mentorship Meetings, designed by SES Equality and Solidarity Association for women in the business world to inspire and support each other, ended with the closing meeting last week.

Women in Business Mentorship Meetings organised by SES Equality and Solidarity Association ended with the closing meeting held on Saturday, 18 March at Serenita Pera, the social centre of the Association.
In the mentorship programme, where women from various sectors came together to support each other in their career journeys, 40 experts had the opportunity to hold a mutual exchange while mentoring 40 mentees. The first meeting of the participants, who were matched on common topics of interest, took place on 7 January. The participants, who met at the first meeting, held four more meetings among themselves in the two-month period until 18 March.
A journey of self-discovery accompanied by a mentor
Women in Business Mentorship Meetings were shaped through experience sharing to help women employees express themselves better in their areas of expertise and overcome common challenges. Participants came together at the closing meeting and shared their experiences in the mentoring journey.

A.K.Y., one of the mentors who participated in the project, commented on how the programme contributed to her: “Based on my own experiences, I became a sister. My mentee also inspired me a lot. The environment and sincerity here, being with such great women is very exciting”, while N.D., one of the mentees in the project, commented: “We always tend to see the glass half empty. In this process, my mentor and I talked about my competences and what I have accomplished so far. That is why the process was good for me.”
In the first part of the meeting, the participants shared their experiences during the project, while in the second part, mentors and mentees discussed the problems they faced in business life in groups and came up with certain themes. In the last part of the programme, solutions were proposed.
SES Equality and Solidarity Association stated that proposals received at this meeting will be reported to the participants and the project will be developed and continued in line with these suggestions.
